888|24 I/O

The 888|24 I/O is designed for uncompromising performance when recording, editing, signal processing, and mixing. Along with eight analog inputs equipped with excellent, 24-bit A/D converters, each output channel also offers a 24-bit D/A converter for precise monitoring applications. The 888|24 I/O also includes eight channels of digital I/O for sample-accurate, 24-bit transfers from digital tape or digital mixing consoles. If you have an expanded Pro Tools system (Pro Tools|24 MIXplus or MIX3), you can combine multiple 888|24 I/O units for up to 72 (software-dependent) channels of discrete analog or digital I/O. The 888|24 I/O can also be used as a stand-alone A/D or D/A converter.

882|20 I/O

The 882|20 I/O offers Pro Tools users a cost-effective, high-quality solution for adding multiple inputs and outputs to Pro Tools systems. With 20-bit D/A and A/D converters, 24-bit digital performance, and an extremely low noise floor (in the +100 dB range), this unit is right at home in professional and project studios alike. The eight analog I/O connections on the 882|20 I/O are balanced TRS 1/4" connectors and can be globally switched in software for +4 dBu or -10 dBV operation. Two channels of S/PDIF digital I/O provide the link to many consumer and professional DAT recorders, CD players, and other devices. The S/PDIF ports can also be used to record, write, and playback 24-bit audio files.

1622 I/O

The 1622 I/O provides a high-quality, cost-effective solution for those wishing to incorporate line-level devices into Pro Tools. The 1622 I/O provides 16 balanced or unbalanced inputs with 20-bit A/D conversion using 1/4" TRS connectors, and two analog outputs with 24-bit D/A conversion. A S/PDIF port capable of 24-bit digital I/O allows you to connect DAT recorders, CD players and other digital recording media. Each input on the 1622 I/O has software-controllable gain to accommodate a wide variety of synthesizer, sampler, and effects unit output levels. These levels are stored in the memory of the 1622 I/O even when the unit is powered off. The 1622 I/O in conjunction with Pro Tools software also acts as a virtual patch bay, enabling you to change connections with just one click.

24-Bit ADAT Bridge I/O

The 24-Bit ADAT Bridge I/O supports any device carrying the Alesis "ADAT Optical" logo, including I/O expansion cards for some popular digital mixing consoles such as the Yamaha 02R, Spirit, Ramsa, and others. This makes it an ideal solution for transferring audio back and forth between Pro Tools and ADAT optical-compatible consoles. With the 24-Bit ADAT Bridge I/O, you can enjoy full 24-bit resolution throughout the entire production process with 24-bit equipped digital consoles. The 24-Bit ADAT Bridge I/O features 16 channels of ADAT Optical Inputs and Outputs, separate AES/EBU and S/PDIF ports for mastering to DAT, and includes a pair of high-quality 24-bit analog outputs for monitoring your audio.
