The Essentials
Pro Tools|24 MIX is available in three basic configurations,
referred to as Core systems: MIX, MIXplus, and MIX3. Along
with your Digidesign-approved Mac or PC, Pro Tools|24
MIX system components include the following:
- Pro Tools TDM software
- A Pro Tools|24 MIX Core PCI card
- One or two Pro Tools|24 MIX Farm
PCI cards (with MIXplus or MIX3, respectively)
Each Core system requires at least one Pro Tools|24 MIX
audio interface ? 888|24 I/O, 882|20 I/O, or 1622 I/O
? for handling the input and output (I/O) of audio signals
to and from your system. Of course, your initial investment
is permanently validated by the fact that you can always
expand your Core system as your needs demand.
