DB-8은 T.C electronic의 DB MAX Digital Broadcast Maximizer와 D-22 Digital
Broadcast Delay를 기본으로 새롭게 개발된 장비이다. 본격적인 디지털 방송 시대를 대비해 5.1 서라운드 방송송출용 장비로서 Loudness Control, Format Control, Peak Control, Timing Control 등 방송송출에 관련된 모든 컨트롤을 한번에 해결할수 있다는 장점이 있다.

» DB-8 TV Transmission Features
DB-8만의 독특한 Stereo Up-Convert 기능을 사용하면 간단하고 빠르게 프로덕션 제작을 할 수 있다. Up-Conversion을 사용하지 않고 단지 Loudness Control을 켜둔 상태에서 Signal Path만을 제한하는 것으로 5.1 로 제작된 영화를 송출할 수 있다.
DB-8의 48bit 프로세싱은 어떤 환경에서도 원본 사운드 수준의 퀄리티를 보장한다.

» Format Control
DB-8은 Mono, Stereo, 5.1 채널의 모든 Sound Format을 지원하며, 각 Format간의
Format Conversion과 유연한 루팅이 가능하여 스테레오로 제작된 프로그램을 5.1 서라운드 사운드로 또는 그 반대로 송출 할 수 있다.

» Peak Control
Compression Codec을 활용한 정확한 Inter Sample Limiting 기능으로 최상의 음질을 유지 할 수 있다.

» Timing Control
영상등 다른 작업과의 연동 시 야기되는 시간 지연에 따른 문제를 보정한다.

» Loudness Control
DB-8의 Loudness Control을 사용하여 프로그램 전체의 레벨을 일정하게 하고 최상의 명료도를 유지할수 있다.

» Centralized Control and Warnings
DB-8은 네트워크를 통한 제어가 가능하다. 다시 말해서 최대 8대의 DB-8이 Windows 95 NT 또는 그 이상의 OS를 사용하는 하나 이상의 PC와 표준 TCP/IP와 Ethernet을 통해 커뮤니케이션이 가능하다.
